Storyline

Both Gibbs and Fornell answer a call for help from Diane, their mutual ex-wife; her current husband, Victor (an employee of the US Department of Homeland Security), has disappeared; Tony reports a hit on Victor's credit card at a burger joint the night before, then McGee reports a recent 911 call about a bloodbath at the same place; the gang investigate. Tony and Ziva say that Victor appears to be a suspect rather than a victim; Abby and a friend announce what Victor stole; McGee finds more secrets; Gibbs, Fornell, and Tony find Victor, who expresses relief and reveals the intent of the bad guys. The team plus Fornell go to a football stadium just before a major game; they find the bad guys, and they deal with them. Fornell tells Vance the motive for the criminal activity. Later Diane approaches Gibbs in his basement, and they have a concluding chat, during which she hands him a watch. Written by DocRushing

Quotes

Diane: Have you just been waiting all these years? An opportunity to twist the knife in.
Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: No. No. That's your specialty.
Diane: You way of getting even for leaving you.
Special Agent Jethro Gibbs: Should give you a medal.
Diane: Yeah, well if there is a medal, I do deserve it - for staying so long. You know it isn't easy being a human anti-depressant. What? You didn't think I knew? You just married me to get over Shannon... Sorry. That- that was. I'm scared, Leroy.

Best episode of Season 9
27 December 2011 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

This episode was brilliant from start to finish. Anytime you get Fornell and Gibbs together, something funny does happen, whether it is a quip or getting involved in a case but this one with having their ex wife Diane involved in a case well you expect fireworks and boy was there fireworks coming off my screen. The lines were just funny. As always the acting is superb, the story lines are incredible and the chemistry is unreal! NCIS has remain my favourite television show. Nine season end and I never get tired of watching the show on television or on DVD. I agree that there should be more Fornell in the series and would like to see more Joe Spano on the show.
