Frank Tagliano: What, no minibar?
Vidar: [laughs] No. Our philosophy here is that if people have nice surroundings, they'll feel nicer inside too. You understand this?

A couple of Mafiosi arrive in Lillehammer
17 October 2012 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

It looks like things are going to get bad for Frank this week; two Mafiosi have arrived from New York with the intention of killing him... if that wasn't bad enough he finds himself spending a couple of days in a Norwegian prison when Torgeir's brother Roar is arrested with a consignment of illegal alcohol destined for the Flamingo Club and has a run in with the chairman of the residents' committee at his new apartment! The two Mafiosi don't know where to find Frank until one of them sticks his head through the door of a conference and sees a picture of Frank being used to illustrate how immigrants can make a successful; life for themselves in Norway. It looks like they will get to him but just as they prepare to strike the polite turn up and arrest him for the illegal booze!

The series has certainly taken a surprisingly dramatic turn over the last couple of episodes; first there was the surprising death of Geir last week now there are two people trying to kill Frank; one of whom is clearly psychotic as he attacks anybody who crosses him... this does of course mean the police are on the look out for a couple of American criminals. There are still a good number of laughs; the police weren't initially suspicious that Roar was smuggling... they arrested him for urinating in public and Frank certainly noticed the difference between Norwegian and American gaols! With only a couple more episodes left I look forward to learning how things will resolve themselves.
