Storyline

When a mythical device from ancient times is rebuilt by a group of Confederates who feel the civil war never ended, Mickey Matson and his newfound friend, Sully, must follow a series of clues left by his dead grandfather to keep the evil men away from the three mystical objects that power the device. Trivia

Although the on-screen ending credits list "Copyright ©2011 Mickey Matson, LLC" (at 1:33:26), the U.S. Copyright Office records show the movie wasn't registered (PAu003654406) until 10/31/2012 with title "Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Conspiracy", with date of creation 2012, and with a DVD as its description. This was well after its 5/10/2012 premiere. The on-screen 2011 reference dates from the premiere copy and the 8/4/2011 registration (PAu003569980) of an "Electronic file (eService)" of a "Dramatic work and music" with title "Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Conspiracy" and with copyright claimant "Harold David Cronk" that probably included his screenplay/script. Goofs

As Mickey and Sully begin to climb the ladder in the lighthouse, Mickey asks Sully "You scared of heights?" She immediately shakes her head no and Mickey says "Me too." If Mickey meant to say that he were not afraid of heights, he would have said "Me neither", so either his answer makes no sense or he is indicating that he is afraid of heights and believes she is too, but without any cause to doubt her. Great family film
7 May 2013 | by See all my reviews

This film was so much fun to watch with our kids. Everyone enjoyed it from the grandmas and grandpas to the littlest kids. There was adventure, action, suspense, and camaraderie. There was no foul language, just good clean fun.

The bad guys were really bad without being nightmarish and the good guys, well, they were just as cute as could be.

There was great camera action and the special effects were masterful. The story was plausible as if it could actually have been true and bringing in the historical aspect was a good way to get kids interested in the Civil War.

To top it all off, it ended well. What more could you ask for.
