The love story (scenes involving both Samantha Cole and Matthew Krob) were filmed in a four week period between late August and early September of 2011.
B-roll of the island of O'ahu, including time lapse sequences were filmed by Bren Thomas of FILMverse Productions in Honolulu.
Although the story had been in development for nearly ten years, it was re-written over the course of six months to be a right fit for Samantha Rivers Cole, whom the director previously worked with on an infomercial and a short experimental film called "Gnarled Hollow Road".
Much of the script was re-written during principle photography to cater to the many changes that were taking place in the director's real life. Likewise, much of the shooting in the latter half of the production was delayed by a month.
Gerard Adimando plays a private investigator that originally had no name. In the script he was simply listed as "Private Investigator". To convey the type of character the director wanted, Eric Norcross listed him as "Bogart".
