A unaltered documentary
gerogar26 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It is as real as it gets, following a normal person, with all his problems in the middle of a social and political turmoil, an opportunity to see how his opinion develops as the government escalates the violence.

I think the best description would be the quote, "I thought it was going to a demonstration and then everyone would go back to their home. But now is a demonstration and everybody is going further, is a revolution."

A compelling documentary about Yemeni revolution
choi-hannah19 August 2012
Warning: Spoilers
A plenty of documentaries were released out after Arab spring. But unlike many of them, this film focuses on the fringe, Yemen.

It takes its viewer to the heart of Yemeni revolution. Instead of explaining every background detail or general things, it sees the revolution throughout an ordinary Yemeni man's eye. What does a revolution mean to a normal Khat-chewing man, to each individual? What kind of notion he/she has, and what made get him/her into the bloodbath as a protester? Where the vigour/verve comes from?

I had no idea what is going on their land before, and this film showed me vividly the situation without filtering or adding anything. The director took a huge risk to film this documentary, and as well as I am concerned, it was worth it - He deserves a standing ovation. I found this documentary absolutely well-made.
