Elite attorney Kang Seong-Hee goes up against a top prosecutor over a case involving a man accused of killing his wife.
Good movie, if you like John Grisham adapted films then you would probably enjoy this. I know it wasn't (or I don't think it was) adapted from a Grisham novel, but it felt very similar.
Nicely acted especially by Ha Jeong-woo who oozes charisma and lights up the screen. Park Hee-soon also does a decent job as the Prosecutor.
Sohn Young-sung did a solid job of directing (only the second time out for him) and paced it just right not letting the movie drag and for a film which runs just over 2 hours, it is a pretty fine accomplishment. Cinematography was also good. The flashbacks were OK, (personally I didn't like them but that was a scripting problem) and the plot was a bit too predictable but on the whole an enjoyable little flick. As this is South Korea's first attempt at a courtroom drama, I look forward to seeing more from them.
2011 was an awesome year for South Korean films
