My favourite Nostalgia Critic Review
29 August 2013 | by (Valhalla) – See all my reviews

I have tended to avoid reviewing reviews. I usually find these reviews entertaining, yes but also I just find it uncomfortable to do so. So here is me reviewing my favourite review from a review show. Except this time it's a musical.

After seeing The Nostalgia Critic's rants (of which even though I like this show that really is all they are... not saying some of the movies are undeserving of the rants) you wouldn't really expect him to be a great singer. He actually has a really good voice. For a fact the only critic that doesn't have a good singing voice in this review (believe me you hear all of them sing) is Phoelus.

On that note the songs are wonderful. My favourites have to be "Pretense", "Guilty Pleasures" and "The Review Must Go On". All of them are well performed.

Now after the Les Miserables review you might ask "What do you think of that?" I personally believe that the review was trying to recapture this as having good songs as well as being entertaining and funny. I also didn't like it because in terms of directors, I do hold Tom Hooper in a regard as being average. With Bax Lurhmann on the other hand I don't hold him in any regard other than as an over-the-top showman that has quicker edits than subliminal messages (and just think he's the most respected director from Australia... depressing).

As a warning, unlike the other Nostalgia Critic reviews where they are usually 15-30 minutes long. This one is 45 minutes long. So if you are unsure about his humour, don't see this as an introductory review. Watch his review for something like The Grinch or the Animated Titanic(s) reviews instead. If you like it then that would be when I would recommend it.

So if you like the Nostalgia Critic and want to see him rant in song (or other critics trying to change his opinion in song) then look this one up on YouTube or If you like him you won't be disappointed. If you don't like him then what are you doing reading my review?
