Despite their therapy going well, Kevin announces to Robin that he is quitting being her therapist since he is moving to Alaska. Robin soon learns that that story is a lie. He quit being her therapist since he was attracted to her. Learning that information, she admits her feelings for him in a roundabout way, and they eventually begin to date. They have to decide whether they can get over the issues that they spoke of in therapy, and get over the unethical nature of their relationship, especially as everyone reminds them of how unethical it is. Marshall, now in his dream job of working for famed environmental lawyer Garrison Cootes, may now believe that the job is not as much of a dream as he imagined it would be. Cootes seems to be letting major polluters off the hook by accepting less than sizable settlements. Cootes and the rest of the staff seem elated by these meager settlements. When Marshall learns the reason why, he has to decide what to do with the information. Ted is taking... Written by Huggo

Marshall Eriksen: Listen, I've been thinking a lot about what you said yesterday on how we all are going to die.
Garrison Cootes: Oh, I'm not gonna die. I've bought a mine shaft in Colorado. I spent the past six months stocking it with canned goods, assault rifles, and all five seasons of Friday Night Lights.
Marshall Eriksen: First of all, you can skip season 2. Second of all, after our talk, I came pretty close to giving up myself, but then I went to the doctor with my wife, and I saw this.

Disappointment After Great Start To Season
4 February 2015 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

At last Jason Segel has a prominent storyline for the first time this season.

Plot In A Paragraph: Marshall thinks his boss has gone soft on environmentalism, Robin tries to date her therapist, Barney suspects that Nora may be lying about her age, and Ted takes his "Intro to Architecture" class on a field trip.

Any episode of "How I Met Your Mother" that has this many "Star Wars" references is going to get a big thumbs up from this reviewer. That said Kal Penn returned as Kevin, Robins Therapist/new love interest, but that was balanced out by Nora returning who is my favourite Barney love interest.

Overall this was a disappointing episode after a great start to the seventh season. The ducky tie episode was great, and set the bar quite high, but hopefully things pick up soon.
