Storyline

After their home invasion, Vivien insists that they move out but their finances are such that there's no possibility of moving into a new place unless they can recoup what they've paid out. Vivien soon learns that selling isn't going to be easy given the long history of murders which go back to 1922 when an abortionist and his wife lived there. Ben is having blackouts, waking up in the backyard and is shocked when his ex-girlfriend from Boston shows up. Larry Harvey gives him a hand. Vivien gets an interesting visitor from the past, though she doesn't realize who the woman is. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

This episode promulgates a longstanding but totally unfounded urban legend that the actor Sal Mineo was killed by a man he had tried to pick up for sex. In fact, the man who confessed to and was tried and convicted for stabbing Mineo had been a pizza deliveryman who killed Mineo while trying to rob him. The actual murderer had no idea who Mineo was, either in a short-term sexual encounter sense or in a larger awareness of his celebrity. Also, Mineo was only stabbed once (not the multiple times shown in this episode), though the stab was in his heart. See more »

Goofs

When the tour guide was talking about Doctor Charles Montgomery, he mentioned that the doctor had 'Frankenstein Complex'. This comment was probably made in regards of the doctor's obsession with dissection. However, this was a wrong usage of the term because the real medical definition of 'Frankenstein Complex' is: the fear that one day artificial intelligence will replace human beings. See more »

Not Feeling It.

Still trying to like this show, but it's actually really bad. The script writing is ridiculous. Nothing makes sense. It's impossible to suspend disbelief because it's so over the top.

The acting ranges from good to horrible, but that's because the scripts are just so dumb and the characters are forced to deliver lines that are often laffable.

There's also silly sub plots that are of no interest -- like the dowdy maid who is seen as a hot tart by the guys. Further, these segment start to drift into soft-core porn. Weird for a commercial channel, even if it is on cable.

Jessica Lange is an odd character in that she seems to have always lived there, in SoCal, but somehow has a deep Southern accent.

I'm really shocked at the great reviews this show gets because it's really a train wreck in so many ways.
