We don't know...
tired-8919012 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The extent of Curtis' power. This episode gets a lot of flack for not following the rules of time travel or Curtis' power. But there are so many varying rules to time travel, does it really matter? We know what Curtis could do with his power and how it worked for him. That doesn't mean that every power works exactly the same for each person. For Curtis the power did just what he wanted it to, it gave him "do overs". Fredrik wanted to kill Hitler, it gave him the chance even though he failed. He should have brought the knife from under instead of over right in front of Hitler's eyes. Kelly wanted to save the original time line even though she didn't know what it was, and she did. Others complained that the present day nazi England wasn't different enough, but what was the budget for this episode? Could you skip this episode without even knowing you did? Of course, but any story that deals with fixing time usually ends like that.

Very amazing show overall but this episode left me with a twist in my neck...

This whole show is awesome. It is just completely amazing and I am in love. But this episode is leaving me confused and kind of annoyed. The time travel with the old man was completely and utterly weird. The time travel power that originally came from Curtis and when Curtis used his power he went back in time to what he looked and what he was doing at the time of which he travelled to. This old man realistically, even though time travel is not realistic at all, shouldn't have been the same age wearing the same clothes etc. yet he was... Overall this episode was very entertaining but also quite sloppy..

Doesn't add to the series.

Misfits is a charming show, the cast is rather small and the story isn't necessarily deep or really engaging, but it's a quite entertaining show with some really hard hitting jokes and interest plot from episode to episode.

This episode, however, confused me and I really didn't like it. The storyline is three inches deep, and it is not believable at all. Don't misunderstand, Misfits isn't believable, it's a fictional show, but I'm thinking more of how this Nazi empire seems wholly unorganized, how nothing's really changed, except for there being Nazis around, and, I mean, why would they use the community center as a prison if they've occupied all of England? I don't feel that this episode adds to the show at all, and it's a pretty big disappointment.

Wost of the series so far

Warning: Spoilers
Misfits obviously has never worked in the realm of reality, but this episode just went too far that it made completely no sense. Here are my three main issues:

1. Assuming the old man got Curtis' power he shouldn't have been able to travel that far back in time. Curtis can only go back to a time that he himself experienced. 2. The whole Nazi organization of a prison was ridiculous. It was far too easy for Kelly to break in. If that was the case then the rebellion should have been won. (also you would think the rebellion would have at least a few more members) 3. After Kelly goes back in time, takes the phone from Hitler, and returns to the future, (which by the way shouldn't be possible) she has memories from the Kelly from the alternate reality.

Despite the storyline flaws, the action, comedy, and design were all pretty spectacular.

Pointless

Completely pointless episode. If you skip it, you won't miss at all.

This BS "I have to travel back and kill Hitler" is one of the most stupid things people say/do in time-travel fiction.

The episode starts with this BS concept, and at the very start we all know that at the end of the episode everything will be reversed.

Not only that, this episode lacks in the logic of the time-reversal power that Curtis had. The old man go back in time in a place and location he never was before. He goes back in time with the same age, when he should be around 10 years old. Than we have Kelly getting the power, going back to an age she wasn't even born, kick Hitler, get the phone and fast forward back to the future. This is not how Curtis powers worked.

Terrible plot, one of the top 3 worst episodes I ever saw among all series I ever watched.

Strange

I know lots of people have problems with the concept of time-travel. "When you do this, will that happen?" etc. This episode was so poorly constructed. I'm still wondering if the writers actually have any ideas left. It did look professional with all the flags etc. and they actually attempted a little bit more this episode but due to the false time-travel concept I couldn't even finish this episode.

But I shouldn't be to harsh on the series. There are almost no people in any episode except for the actors. It's just an empty wasteland and the entire concept of the series is wrong and strange, but I still watch and love it. The trick is to get your brain empty and just enjoy the show.

I do have to say that they showed guts in this episode and I like that.
