Storyline

Clowntime is Over is a sad slapstick (or sadstick) farce in which Comedy meets Tragedy, Fantasy meets Reality, Life meets Death and Laurel meets Beckett. When the lives of a group of fresh-faced drama students, about to dip a toe in the shark-infested waters of their chosen profession, bump momentarily against that of an elderly variety entertainer who's been chewed up many times over and who is about to be spat out before our very eyes, the results are sad, funny, sad again, funny, funny, sad, neutral, funny, sad and sad.
