The plot of this episode concern's Pierce's family corporation, the moist-towelette company called "Hawthorne Wipes." Chevy Chase, the actor who plays Hawthorne, in real life also has a family fortune derived from a personal sanitation product. Chase, whose real name is Cornelius Crane Chase, is the grandson of Cornelius Vanderbilt Crane, who was heir to the Crane Plumbing company, which manufactures and distributes plumbing fixtures and products (most notably, toilets for home and commercial markets) in North America. Pierce's father, who appears in the present for the first time in this episode, is also named Cornelius. (His father had appeared previously in a home movie circa 1956 played by a different actor.) Not that great
29 March 2012 | by See all my reviews

Afthe the chaos episode I wouldn't expect anything better. but this episode was particularly too "try-very-hard" written and the storyline just doesn't flow naturally. I love community because its all about smart nonsense .. but I coudnt find that in this episode, it had a lot of glitches and the idea of Pirece's father and what happens at the end with his father involving Jeff just doesn't quite fit with the whole story of community. Im an university student and I enjoy more when the situations involve the community college itself and this episode for me is just way out of the blue. however I'll keep loving the show no matter what .. maybe next episode is way better
