I ran across this movie/documentary by accident, but it was worth the watch. You can tell all of the actors/actresses are not as experienced as others, but the storyline and content make up for the valuable message. The story will be familar to some and eye opening for some, because it focuses on other types of abuse that are not normally discussed- verbal, psychological and the roots of the abuse are shown in different ways than just the obvious ones. There are a few more experienced actors (Tiny Lister, Kym Whitley and K. D. Aubert), but it also shows the talent of some of the less well known and they shine. In particular Erlinda Navarro, Daniel Lujan, and Stephanie Wyatt. I was diappointed that we only saw the full development of a few stories and not all, but they filmmaker did give us the "what happened after" commentary. Hope for more of these. Worth the watch in my opinion. ST.
