That's a winner!
4 February 2012 | by See all my reviews

The 1985 National Championship Series was a best of 7 game battle between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Both teams were vying to go onto the World Series to get their chance to get a World Series trophy.

Through the first four games each home team won their games bringing the series to a 3-2 lead for the Redbirds. Each team would be starting one of their best starting pitchers with the Cardinals using Joaquin Andujar who was a 21 game winner that season against the Dodgers' Orel Hershiser who was a 19 game winner. Going into the 9th inning the Cardinals were down 5-4. Jack Clark gets the game winning hit driving in Ozzie Smith and Willie McGee.
