Lily's will get a brother
26 November 2011 | by (New York) – See all my reviews

Claire and Phil are grocery shopping. Phil spots an attractive woman in the produce section, not realizing Claire is behind him, he inadvertently pushes her into a stack in a corner and she has a stack of goods fall on her. She is clearly mortified and wants to get to the bottom of it. For that she gets a copy of the security tape that shows just what happened.

Cam and Mitch are doing everything to adopt a boy, a brother for little Lily. Cam has issues with Mitch's way of doing things. Cam thinks Mitch has an egotistical streak. Lily, on the other hand, wants no part of an intruder taking her place. She rejects the idea of having a brat come into her territory.

Jay and Gloria are discussing Manny's behavior in school. He accidentally takes a girl's locket. He was sent to the principal's office, but he denied having it. Jay questions Manny; at first, the boy says he is not guilty of any wrongdoing, but eventually Jay is able to get to the bottom of the situation. He makes no bones: Manny must fess up and apologize. Gloria goes with him to school. Instead of going directly to the principal's, she asks to see the girl's locker. Manny points at it and Gloria opens it with a credit card, shoving the chain inside. Gloria asks Manny to keep quiet about the incident.

Later on, all the family comes to Cam and Mitch where the official announcement is made about the adoption. Michael Spiller directed the screenplay written by Jeffrey Richman. The chapter deals with the difficulty of sharing as well as how easy it is to Gloria to hide the fact that Manny did not do the right thing. Mr. Spiller gets good results from this talented cast.
