It would be interesting to know what qualifies Born Villain as a short movie instead being merely a video to music by Marylin Manson. Following that logic, there would be an unlimited pool of titles flooding over IMDb.com.
Anyway, Marylin Manson left his trace in contemporary music, i'd even dare to say pop music. I've enjoyed it at a certain point, but came to believe that it addresses a certain age group rather than a target group. Staying in a specific niche poses challenges, one of them being
rediscovering yourself. Born Villain is an attempt at that.
The director Shia LaBeouf offers another glimpse at the path of madness and pleasure. It shows some very graphic images but fails to offer anything new in Marylin Manson's output.
