A clichéd narrative and unenthusiastic episodes
2 August 2014 | by (Portugal) – See all my reviews

Writer Pedro Lopes tries to power up this confusing television drama with his overconfidence and partly fails. After the success of Laços de Sangue (Blood Ties), he thought he could do the same thing with this one, putting no effort whatsoever but the end result is a jumbled mess. Like always, the cast is outstanding and the songs are pleasure hearing but the narrative is full of clichés (overabundance of coincidences, love interests, maleficent plans, constantly assassinations, dysfunctional families and of course, happy endings) and full of illogical plot elements. The comedy seems more uninspiring rather than humorous and the character motivation is not always believable. Through all of this, Dancin Days may satisfy the elders but all the others will quit seeing SIC series.
