Ansel Faraj said that the film Chandu the Magician (1932)was an inspiration on the feel and style of the final script.
While the film was shot entirely on blue screen, utilizing the digital back lot technique, originally background plates were to be shot in Germany and London. This idea was nixed by Director Ansel Faraj, who felt the film should be more stylized, and now all of the sets will be created via CGI.
This film was originally planned as a straight mystery-adventure. Only in the writing of the script was Nikolas Winter made a magician.
