Did You Know?

Artemis:What do we do now?
Robin:We save them. That's how it works.
Artemis:Maybe that's how it's supposed to work, but those robots already took out our four super-powered friends.
Robin:You seem distraught.
Artemis:Distraught? M'gann is dying! We have no powers, and I'm down to my last arrow. Of course I'm distraught!
Robin:Well get traught, or get dead.

one of the best animated episodes ever, 13 June 2015
Author: A_Different_Drummer from North America

This is a standout.

1. Nonstop action

2. You don't need to know anything about backstory, it doesn't matter if you have seen the earlier episodes or not. Doesn't even matter if you know the characters or not

3. The writers were clearly on their game, pun intended. Not only do the good guys win at the very last minute, but in this case the "good guys" are the members of the team without superpowers, which means that there is actually a subliminal message in this one, and a decent message too

One of the problems with "infantalizing" a legacy story (to attract a new young audience in the current generation) is that you lose the flavor. Here is a good example of great writing overcoming that obstacle
