This Vitaphone short (Vitaphone production number 1124) features Joe Penner with his stock funny voice and laugh in a World War I comedy. He cleverly tricks a couple of fellow soldiers out of some money and later is involved in an unsuccessful break from the brig. Also featured is singer/dancer Joan Carter Waddell who performs the song "I've Got My Eye On You", a song that was introduced by Alice White in the 1930 First National feature "Show Girl In Hollywood", released earlier in 1930.
