Fan Satisfying
GunnersMate10 June 2018
"Eureka has never been about the town, it's about the people." These scripted words from the episode have always been at the heart of the best offerings from the series, and they are never more true than in Just Another Day, the final episode of the five season series of Eureka. After the shocking announcement at the end of the preceding two-parter, the people of Eureka are packing up while the final crisis of the week is combatted. It is a fan satisfying episode with plenty of cameos, the return of beloved (and loathed) characters, the tidying up of storylines, and the promise of what comes next. Amidst the well-earned emotion the episode is largely played for humor. It is an appreciated gift to the fans for their five seasons of loyalty, a drink in your favaorite pub with your friends and coworkers, and a hug from family before leaving town. It's just another day in Eureka.

Sappy, but filling

I will agree with some of the other reviewers who said that they tried too hard with this, and that it was rushed. However, I will say that for those of us who have faithfully watched the show from the beginning, this finale is about as good as other finales that I have seen.

Television writers seem to have a very difficult time with final episodes. And these writers exhibited the same problems. The actors, however, handled the uncomfortable script as well as could be expected. I appreciated the obvious emotion, even when it was clearly strained.

Overall, I would say that this show ended as well as possible. And the overall themes of the show were imaginative, exciting, and fulfilling.

Show was good, but this was a let down

I love this show. But the show was forced to be canceled. There was suspost to be more episodes in season 5, and 6 more episode, but were forced to squease it into half the episodes. The episode felt like a forced ending, not naterial. I understand the almost all good shows have bad endings, but this was different. The episodes fit as many characters from the show in it: Zoe, (which we haven't seen that much), the main six (Carter, Lupo, Allison, Fargo, and Henry) and a bunch of forced goodbyes, like Grace, and others. The episode tried to fit too much in one episode.

At last

They ran out of good ideas a while back. I think 1 good episode in the final season. Characters were ruined as they all become more homogenous. Spent a lot of time on new characters that didn't matter much (Holly it is never a good idea to bring someone back from death)

Anyway. Enjoyed a lot. Went to hell with time travel and never recovered. Good to see it end.
