A Very Potter Musical is a parody of the Harry Potter movies and it follows Harry (Criss), Ron (Richter) and Hermione (Gruesen) in their second year at school. At Hogwarts, Professor Quirrell, the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, reinstates an old tournament, the House Cup. Four students, one from Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin and Gryffindor are chosen as the 'champions' and have to perform in life-threatening tasks in order to win the House Cup. However, Quirrell is under the command of the evil Lord Voldemort and is helping Voldemort return to his own body, rather than being attached to Quirrells soul. In order to kill Lord Voldemort, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny must find Voldemorts horcruxes and destroy them before Voldemort takes over the wizarding world. Written by
This is not the first time Lauren Lopez has played a British boy. She also played Frodo Baggins in a "Lord of the Rings" parody musical by the company that would later be called Team StarKid. See more »
This musical is so funny, I don't know how many times I have watched it its so awesome. Darren Criss is awesome as the leading man, but I have got to say Joe Walker as Voldemort and Lauren Lopez as Draco steal the show for me. With awesome one liners and and hilarious in-jokes this has to be one of my favorite musicals ever. It does not fail in entertainment, and keeps you attracted throughout the show, as well as the catchy musical tunes which will keep you singing one line through your head for the rest of the week before you go back and listen to it. "Back to witches and wizards and magical feasts, back to goblins and ghosts and magical beasts. It's all that I love and all that I need at Hogwarts! Hogwarts! I think I'm going back" If you're a huge Potter fan you will absolutely love this. Ten out of Ten
