Franks transports a blind man
7 August 2015 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

Frank's latest job sees him in Philadelphia where he is to drive Jack Perkins; a CIA operative who has been accused of leaking information. To prove his innocence Frank will have to drive him to his dead drop site, collect the computer drive which holds the evidence that both clears him and identifies the actual traitor… unfortunately Jack doesn't know the identity of the real traitor so doesn't know who at the CIA he can trust. To make matters more interesting Jack was one of Frank's martial arts trainers but now he is almost totally blind. As Frank and Jack drive around the real traitor sends people to eliminate him and several fights, shootouts and chases ensue. Away from the action Frank's mechanic, Dieter, is having some trouble buying a suit for a wedding; the woman in the shop recommends snakeskin trousers but Frank is rightly horrified and recommends something more tasteful… black suit and tie with a white shirt; coincidentally what he wares.

By now fans of the series will know what to expect and should be happy with this one; Jack might not be Frank's typical passenger, he isn't a beautiful woman, but he is interesting. He may be blind but he is still handy in a fight… and he and Frank get involved in plenty of fights in this episode. These fights are all pretty exciting. The identity of the real traitor isn't much of a mystery but that doesn't really matter as this series is all about the action not the mystery. Guest star Joseph Kell is pretty good as the blind fighter. The scenes featuring Dieter's attempts to by the suit provided some good laughs; Charly Hübner is pretty funny in the role. Overall a fine episode with plenty of action and just the right amount of humour.
