Last Sunday the MTV Europe Music Awards 2011 took place in Belfast, Ireland. Lady Gaga and Justin Beaver won most of the awards but that doesn't really matter. The show was awful and the music too. Even the Red Hot Chilli Peppers performance felt awkwardly bad and no this wasn't caused due to John Frusciante's departure, you silly hipsters. What really saved the programme from being totally pointless was the potpourri ending performance by the remaining members of QUEEN - who got awarded as this year's Global Icon - led by Adam Lambert in vocals. In addition, few shots of female singers ass/legs made this screening worthwhile.

Selena Gomez, who is famous for being Justin Bieber's devirginator, was this year's host and did a good job in making this feel even more cancerous by performing indifferent skits and saying uninspired lines. David Hasselhoff aka The Hoff kept coming up on stage expressing his stallion attitude. Lady Gaga even pointed that out by telling him that she could notice how big his croch was. Selena also performed her new trash single '' Hit the Lights '' but unfortunately for her she lacks a nice booty unlike Lady G.

Lady Gaga's songs might sound like sick farts but at least they are coming from a fine ass.

During the show I was surprised on how little this was focused on actually giving the awards to artists but rather how focused it was on forcibly creating headlines for next day's gossip tablets. For example, acts who weren't present on the venue but had won in a category were awarded via video without showing the nominations first. In contrast, the ceremony was filled with presenters, one of whom (That chick who looks like a truck driver from '' Heroes '') got interrupt by an Irish young streaker (FAKE!) and afterwards Lady Gaga feeled up her butt.

Another thing that surprised me while viewing the Snow Patrol performance, is how similar looking the lead singer of the band and Randy from Scream are.

Overall I had fun catching a rerun of this but it sure needed more well rounded donkeys, more QUEEN and at least a performance by Mitch Buchannon. It gets a four out of five, laying it tad meaningless.
