Storyline

Andrew's paying 'Scottish house-guests' fool nobody, but Malcolm and Kate help cover for him and Summer. Mike realizes that Chris is hiding his unwillingness to study for his father, helps cover for a while but insists he must make up his mind and try if his father doesn't understand after all, even though breaking the family's social climbing dream might compromise their fragile reconciliation after Chris's coming out. Jim tries to pick up with Susan where they left, but she guesses Karl's part and is furious. Malcolm warns his father not to drive his mother away over something feeble compared to his infidelity which once broke their marriage. Written by KGF Vissers

"Don't bother asking this guy for help"
2 September 2011 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

An incredibly frustrating episode.Michael's continued refusal to have anything to do with Tash if bordering on the inhumane, as she's left cracking up without him showing any human feeling towards her.A few scenes of him looking in the mirror thinking he's a scumbag doesn't really wash it.Chris and Tasha's friendship gets a good airing.

Meanwhile, Malcolm gives an annoying speech in support of Susan, which Karl unfortunately listens to, backing down and accepting the fact that Susan refuses to be there for her family and is more concerned with messing about with a virtual stranger's life.

The attempt to inject some light heartedness into the proceedings with Andrew and Summer's backpacker scam falls flat because of the illogic of them not being at school and some out of character behaviour from Summer.
