Good morning!

Sara Gilbert will return to acting in the new Bad Teacher pilot for CBS. The comedy is based on the film starring Cameron Diaz but Ari Graynor will play the lead role (love her!!!) and Sara will play "Irene, a shy, introverted drama and English teacher who, when activated, can be a bit intense." If the show is picked up, she'll still host The Talk, too. Phew!

The Nigerian women's soccer team has put a ban on lesbians from their team, but FIFA is not having it. The organization "has written to the Nigerian Fa for clarification of reports that lesbians have been banned from the game in the west African country." Just recently Dilichukwu Onyedinma, chair of the Nigeria Women Football League and a member of the Nigerian Football Federation (Nff) executive committee, »

Morning Brew - Tues. March 5: Jane Lynch raps on "Conan," Michigan Womyn's Fest announces this year's line-up

Good morning!

Jane Lynch rapped Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" while on Conan the other night and I loved it.

San Francisco 49er Chris Culliver spent the day volunteering at The Trevor Project this week after making some anti-gay statements prior to the Super Bowl. I'm still trying to not be mad at him.

Michigan Womyn's Music Fest has announced their line-up for this summer and it's pretty stacked. It might be worth the living on the land for me.

Out New Zealand singer Anika Moa had a performance scheduled at a church, but they just cancelled it after saying they disagree with her "lifestyle."

Brittany and Santana make an appearance in the Archie's Glee comic, but they don't seem to be doing anything lesbian. Sorry!

Olympian Missy Franklin is on Pretty Little Liars tonight. Take a look at the preview clip below, »

Good morning!

Looks like Lifetime has un-canceled Drop Dead Diva, so if you're a fan of that very queer show, rejoice.

Supposedly Rosie O'Donnell is working on a lesbian parenting book and she asked Jodie Foster to contribute but she was turned down. I really just want to know who Jodie is with in that photo.

Bitch magazine has a list of the best lines from a 1968 book about bisexuality. Very interesting.

Out hip-hop duo Kin 4 Life has a sexy new video for their song "Take Your Clothes Off."

Turkey has a new film about their Pflag called My Child. That one is definitely going to make me cry.

A lesbian couple had their photo axed from their high school yearbook. Felicia Rivera and Lialani Hernandez were cuddling in a photo for the Valentine's Day spread and the yearbook staff »

David Steinberg sits down with comedian Louis C.K. in the season two premiere of Showtime’s Inside Comedy (airing Monday, February 11 at 11 p.m.). During their wide-ranging interview, C.K. talks fame and fans, and he issues a warning: Do not ask him to pose for a picture with you. He won’t do it. He would rather have a lovely conversation with you instead, provided you weren’t a total jerk about not getting the photo. And he kind of revels in the way it pisses some people off. Watch: »

Good morning, Brewbies.

President Obama has issued an official message to the National Conference on Lgbt Equality, praising them for their history of grassroots political activism and encouraging them to continue to fight the good fight.

The White House also said on Friday that the issue of same-sex military benefits has the president's attention:

The president is absolutely focused on and aware of the need to further implement Dadt [repeal], and to ensure that proper benefits are provided … You know, for more details, I would point you to the Defense Department, but this is an issue the president is aware of and it has his attention.

And speaking of same-sex military spouses, Fort Bragg named lesbian military wife Ashley Broadway as the "spouse of the year." She's now in the running to be the Army's national spouse of the year.

Hey, remember Dani Campbell »

15 January 2013 2:08 PM, PST | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

Showtime's set out its schedule for the rest of the year, and if you're curious about the premium network's two new shows -- the Liev Schreiber-as-a-fixer-for-Los Angeles'-rich-and-powerful drama "Ray Donovan" and the human sexuality research series "Masters of Sex" -- you'll have to wait until summer for the former and fall for the latter. The channel kicked off its year in original programming with new seasons of "Shameless," "House of Lies" and "Californication" this past Sunday, and put the premiere episodes of "Shameless" and "Californication" online for free here and here. The rest of the year will go as follows: Nonfiction series "Inside Comedy" will start its second season on Monday, February 11 at 11pm. The half-hour series will run ten episodes, with host David Steinberg interviewing comedians like Louis C.K., Steve Martin, Tina Fey and Will Ferrell. ...

Good morning! I hope you're not too hungover from playing the Golden Globes drinking game Tina Fey and Amy Poehler created.

Speaking of the Globes, Jodie Foster clarified she is not retiring from acting after she gave a speech that might have insinuated she was done. But she has been focusing a lot on her directing, and she has directed an episode of the upcoming super-gay Netflix series Orange is the New Black. The title of the episode? "Lesbian Request Denied."

Did you watch Girls last night? Star Alison Williams has a great New Year's Resolution that involves her castmate.

Ingrid Jungerman of my favorite web series The Slope has released a teaser for her new series F to 7th and there are some great guest stars, including Amy Sedaris. The show will premiere a week from »

Dexter Season 8 Premiere Date and Showtime's 2013 Schedule

13 January 2013 8:00 AM, PST | GeekTyrant | See recent GeekTyrant news »

Looks like we wont have to wait as long to see the return of Dexter! Showtime has announced that the series will return to TV earlier than normal. Season 8 will premiere on June 30th at 9pm, and will serve as a lead-in for the cable networks new crime drama Ray Donovan. It was previously a lead in to Homeland. I've also heard that Season 8 will in also be the last season of the show, which is sad, but we knew it would eventually have to come to an end.

The early return of the series has not affected production on Dexter. Showtime entertainment president David Nevins said, “There is no less production time, just a little less vacation time between the seasons.” He also said that the drama’s producers and cast had received enough lead time to adjust to the scheduling changes.

Here's a rundown of the rest of Showtimes 2013 schedule thanks to Deadline. »
