3rd Episode: Sparks fly in the Courtroom ***1/2
7 October 2011 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The tension and spark flying in the courtroom were both mesmerizing in this 3rd installment of a man accused of murdering the wife he despised.

Jean Smart and Harry battle tooth for tooth. You can just imagine as the judge is constantly sustaining objections from the opposing attorneys.

Jean Smart really out-smarts herself here. Her determination to get a guilty verdict leads her to commit unorthodox maneuvering in court.

The ending is very abrupt and some may even think as a cop-out to the entire situation. It is in the last scene where Harry confronts the real killer, this is most amazing.

Noticed that Tommy Jefferson has played a rather low-key role in these episodes. Hope this doesn't continue. He has much to offer as the know-it-all lawyer who is so consumed with himself.
