A man remembers a part of his childhood
25 April 2013 | by (Cluj, Romania) – See all my reviews

The story is very good, but I can't say the same about the ending. Very good image and very well made at narrative level. It is a short movie, so not much can be said about it, but if the crew that made this one would find another end, this short film would be much, much better. Anyway, the actors play very well, the music is good, the colors are very strong and remain in the viewer's mind. Even though it is very well made from a technical point of view, it gave me the feeling that it is a debut movie, because it has a great idea, but can't go with it through the end. Actually, I see that McAllister was at his first movie as a director.

P.S. I saw it at Cluj Shorts, the first edition of the festival from the city where it is TIFF, Transilvania International Film Festival. It won the main prize, so I must say good job to the director and his crew!
