Walker came up with this idea for a Let's Play in 2007 when he had just begun The Nostalgia Critic series, having been inspired by the trend of Let's Plays, which originated around the same time. When he finished filming the video, he found the audio did not record. On his second attempt, the result was the same, so Doug shelved the idea, until a very busy summer in 2011 where a break in the schedule finally allowed him to realize this concept. See more »
