The short is based on a true story from Emma Burch's childhood. Her mum told Emma she was born a boy and that her original name was Bradford Dillman. Emma believed the story from the age of 3 to 6 and even had a shoebox on top of her wardrobe that she thought contained her penis. It was the reactions Emma would receive telling this tale from her childhood that inspired her to make a short film about it. See more
