This episode has bugged me. Santana and her high horse, talking about her ethnic heritage and how she's so superior because she is Latin, so much better than the Spanish teacher. How he did Latin week so corny.
She sang a song by MADONNA, who is Italian who pretends to be English. I wanted to smack her. Yes, it was in Spanish, SOME of it, but it was "The Beautiful Island" La Isla Bonita. Seriously? That was BS, Santana. Get over yourself. It's not like you did something by Gloria Estefan, who actually IS Latin. Ugh. That kind of made me mad. Her piece was no more Latin than Taco freaking Bell.
The whole episode, she was complaining how she was genuine and more true to Latin, and trying to prove that Will Shuster had no business teaching Spanish. Maybe if she'd put a little effort into researching that Madonna is Italian and not Latin, she might realize that she looked like a flaky idiot in the end.
