- Open with the former Trouble Tones girls saying they regret missing their chance to sing Michael Jackson. Will (Matthew Morrison) says he's been thinking about maybe going back to Michael for regionals. This leads to Blaine singing "Wanna Be Startin' Something."
It's been three days since the proposal. Finn (Cory Monteith) asks Rachel (Lea Michele) if she's made a decision. She says she's still not sure. When Finn presses, she seems ready to say no. Finn cuts her off and tells her to take her time.
While some of the kids sit around and talk about their early memories of Michael, Sebastian (Grant Gustin) shows up and informs them the Warblers will be singing Michael at regionals. Apparently, Blaine (Darren Criss) let the information slip during a phone conversation. Since Warblers have first choice, new team captain Sebastian was able to call and change their set list.
The New Directions are upset at losing Michael. Will says the lesson of the week is "WWMJD," or What Would Michael Jackson Do?
New Directions meets the Warblers in an underground parking lot. The teams sing a competitive version of "Bad." At the end Sebastian throws a slushie at Kurt (Chris Colfer). Blaine gets in the way and drops to the ground screaming.
Blaine will need surgery on his eye. The kids are sure Sebastian must tampered with the slushie. Will wants them to let the authorities handle this. Artie (Kevin McHale) is furious, telling Will he's tired of being stepped on. This leads (without a wheelchair) to him and Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) doing the music video version of "Scream."
Rachel tells Quinn (Dianna Agron) about Finn's proposal. Quinn shows her she's been accepted early to Yale and thinks the only way for Rachel to succeed is to dump Finn. Quinn sings "Never Can Say Goodbye." Quinn thanks the glee club for their help.
Santana (Naya Rivera) wants to help Kurt get revenge on Sebastian for what he did. He's vowed not to use violence.
Sam (Chord Overstreet) asks Mercedes (Amber Riley) to come to the auditorium. He wants her to perform a duet with him. They sing "Human Nature." Afterwards, they kiss.
Burt (Mike O'Malley) comes to school to give Kurt his letter from NYADA. After finding the perfect room, Kurt opens it and reads he's been named a finalist. Burt is emotional and says he's never been prouder to be Kurt's father.
Kurt shows Rachel his letter. She tells him she hasn't received one and assumes this means she didn't even make the finals. She is distraught all of her friends are making plans. She has no idea what she'll be doing.
Rachel and Finn pay Blaine a visit while he heals at home before his surgery. To bring him a taste of Michael Jackson, they sing "Ben" with Kurt.
Santana goes to see the Warblers. She tells them about Blaine's eye. The rest of the choir seems upset. After some trash talk, Sebastian asks the two of them be left alone. They perform a battle version of "Smooth Criminal." Afterwards, Sebastian admits he placed rock salt in the slushie meant for Kurt.
Santana tells the rest of the kids she taped Sebastian's confession, They should now be able to get him kicked out of school. Kurt doesn't want to go that route. He says he has a better idea.
Finn takes Rachel aside and says he needs to remind her of something. They sing "I Just Can't Stop Loving You." Afterwards, she accepts his proposal and puts on the ring.
New Directions invites the Warblers to their auditorium to show them how much they "get" Michael. They perform "Black or White". By the end. everybody except Sebastian is onstage. Santana tells Sebastian they have him on tape, but gives him the evidence. The goal was just to let the rest of the Warblers know just how what kind of guy he really is.
Rachel comes to school the next day and shows Kurt she is also a finalist at NYADA. They embrace. Kurt asks her "Have you told Finn yet?" Rachel looks stunned as the episode ends.
