The marquis and count persist in putting Yann on trial for piracy, despite his warning they will have a lot to explain to the royal 'intendant general' (supervisor of provincial authorities), and obtain a death sentence. However Marion's father spreads a pest rumor and manages to free him and his captured party. The villains have already set out i their treasure hunt to New France (in America), with his ship and crew.
