Compared to American Breakdown: Plan 9 from Outer Space is On the Waterfront, The Godfather 3 is The Godfather, Joe Eszterhas Showgirls is Stanley Kubrick's 2001 A Space Odyssey, Smokey and the Bandit Part 3 is To Kill A Mockingbird, Krull is Star Wars, Star Wars is Bladerunner, Friday the 13th Part 7 is Psycho, My Little Pony: The Movie is Fantasia, Ishtar is still Ishtar. If you took ten lab monkeys addicted to crack blindfolded them and gave them video cameras they would not come up with anything as disconnected and awful as American Breakdown. How did so many great actors end up in this flick? Watching American Breakdown made me wish Edison was a shoemaker.
