The films title can be interpreted as a ferocious force exploding from within and breaching the darkness to reveal the light.
The novella, "A Tiger in the Dark: Eyes of a Stranger" was inspired by the events of April 2012. Drew Glick began to write the book after he had been released from Queens Hospital following symptoms including severe chest pains, inability to breath, blurry vision and numbness. The attack was so severe that Drew was put on Xanax and Valium. The doctor insisted he not leave his house and rest for a minimum of a week. Drew spent nearly two weeks recovering while trying to eliminate all stress from his life. The book which recounts these moments details these events and speaks about the numerous emotional upheavals Drew had to face while trying to finish A Tiger in the Dark: Decadence, Pt. 1: Final Conflict. The book was never intended to be released to the public. Yet, after Drew had given the book to a close friend whom had read only the first ten pages the two agreed that the book was destined for Internet shelves. Drew said, "even if only one person reads the book [Eyes of a Stranger] I hope that he/she will find solace in the words and know that any problem regardless of how severe can be overcome as long as you clear your mind, follow your heart and always believe in yourself even when no one else does."
The scenes featuring Olga Alexandrovskia, Rita Raider, Rachel Ghilardi and Raine Brown were shot as part of a sequence of scenes that were used specifically for the trailer of the film, but were never slated to be part of the final film.
When "A Tiger in the Dark: Decadence, Pt. 1: Final Conflict" reached number three on IMDb's list of the "Top Ten Most Popular Titles in New York", Drew Glick decided to combine the two part feature film into one film. He titled it, "A Tiger in the Dark: The Decadence Saga."
