According to the web site http://www.richardburton.com, "Only half of this film was made. Burton is cast as Reid Lawerence, an actor who is paralysed by a falling lift."
An article on The Miami News fated January 10 1975, states that the production was troubled from the beginning and that Burton had almost walked out when he found out drinking buddy Robert Mitchum would not be his co-star. James Coburn was signed on as Mitchum's replacement.
It was also at one point to be Audrey Hepburn's comeback film. Charlotte Rampling was cast instead.
American starlet Jeannie Bell, Burton's companion at the time, had a small role in the never completed film.
