Or is it even that? maybe it is just comedy. "Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win" is a 11-minute animated film and another collaboration between Spike Jonze before his Oscar win and the Beastie Boys. The script comes from the late Beastie Boy Adam Yauch. And the famous short film company Funnyordie was in on this one too. But it is a case of too many cooks unfortunately. The animation is pretty simple and never memorable. I also did not really like the action figure style. A bit on the uninspired side. And the music, but mostly the action, are not particularly entertaining or interesting either. All in all, a contender for weakest career effort for the Beasties and Jonze. Pretty disappointing given this was far from the beginnings of their careers, but done only 4 years ago. Not recommended.
