Running gags call for Donald (Hal Sparks) to be called "out-of-shape" and Chase (William Brent) to be called a weakling nerd; however, these are arguably the two most in-shape athletic people in the show (only approached by Kelli Berglund's accomplishments as a multi-style dancer). Sparks practices kung fu and has earned several martial art black-belts while Unger studies and participates in extreme martial arts, advanced stunting, motocross, surfing and skateboarding. These two provide most of the shows physical comedy, with their physical agility making it look easy.
In "Robot Fight Club," the actors had to build their own robots.
Season 2 is the only season without a one hour season premiere.
In seasons 1 and 2, Leo was the shortest in the family, but in seasons 3 and 4, Leo is second tallest.
Hal Sparks and Jeremy Kent Jackson share a real-life birthday of September 25.
Future Leo from an Episode of the First Season is played by Tyler James Williams, Tyrel Jackson Williams' real life older brother.
Adam is actually not the strongest; Chase has more strength.
William Brent is the only Main Cast Member of Lab Rats (2012) to not star in any Disney Channel Movies in 2014 (Spencer Boldman starred in Zapped (2014), Kelli Berglund starred in How to Build a Better Boy (2014), and Tyrel Jackson Williams starred in Pants on Fire (2014) (the latter being a Disney XD Movie)).
In several episodes, Spencer Boldman demonstrates his excellent singing voice, which is a secret talent he doesn't like to admit.
This show is in the same universe as Kirby Buckets (2014),and Mighty Med (2013). This is because the animal Laughy Cat is mentioned at one point in each series.
Between the production of Season 2 and 3, Tyrel Jackson Williams went through puberty, which included changes in his voice, height, and weight.
The longest running Disney xd show.
Although Chase is the Youngest of the Lab Rats' (but not younger than Leo), William Brent (Chase' Actor) is actually older than Kelli Berglund (Bree's Actress) in Real Life (Unger was born in October of 1995 whilst Berglund was born in February of 1996).

The trivia items below may give away important plot points.

Season 3 focuses on Leo becoming bionic and getting a mission suit.
Despite the show's name, the term "Lab Rats" is only used once in the show itself in the very first episode . In all theother episodes they've been referred to as "Adam, Bree and Chase", "The Kids", and "Bionic Super-humans".

The last episode of each season foreshadows the Upcoming Antagonist of the next season (though not yet introduced):
  • Marcus greets Douglas (only having his arms visible on-screen, not revealing himself until Midway through the Next Season) at his desk after successfully infiltrating Davenport's Lab, having set up a Microscopic Spy-cam to spy on the Lab Rats through Douglas' iPad, and revealing his true colors to capture the Lab Rats.
  • Krane (wearing a white mask over his face, not properly introduced until the Start of the Next Season) frees Douglas from the Block of Ice he'd been trapped in earlier in the season, now stationed in one of Davenport's Offshore Facilities, and takes out all the Security Guards, as seen on the Security Footage from Davenport's iPad, letting Douglas continue his Evil Plans with Krane's help (though he'd eventually betray Douglas in the Next Season with his own plans).
  • (Though we already know who he is) Before the end of the episode, the Camera Zooms on Sebastian as he says "You killed my father, I'm gonna do the same thing to yours", showing his true colors to get revenge on the Lab Rats for defeating Krane in the Battle against the Bionic Soldiers when they were under his control.
