Storyline

It is fourteen months since Jax, Clay, Tig, Bobby, Juice and Happy went to jail on federal gun charges. Jimmy and Stahl are both dead, murdered by Chibs and Opie. Tara has discovered John's love letters to Maureen, hidden by Maureen in Jax's belongings before he left Northern Ireland, in which John states he knows Clay and Gemma are plotting his death. Miles and Kozik have been patched into SAMCRO. However, upon their release, the Sons find Charming a drastically changed place. Jacob is now mayor, and his plans for a huge housing estate, Charming Heights, are pressing ahead, with Oswald handling construction. The San Joaquin Sheriff has absorbed Charming PD, with Unser retiring, and the town now under the jurisdiction of Lt. Eli Roosevelt, someone with no love for SAMCRO. Behind the scenes, the Sons are also targeted by AUSA Lincoln Potter, who is fully aware of their new distribution deal with the Real IRA, and their involvement in the deaths of both Jimmy and Stahl.
