Great short. I loved the little boy. He was so cute and a good actor. John Mahoney was excellent as usual. I'm from the PNW and the rain made me homesick.

A compelling short film

I watched A Hard Rain on DVD (yes DVD!) about a decade ago, and I realised it had a similar storyline to In the Bedroom with Sissy Spacek. Then I looked at the label and saw that A Hard Rain was produced several years before In the Bedroom.
John Mahoney stars in this, just as he gained massive fame as Martin Crane in Frasier.
Dennie Gordon, who later became a prolific TV director, wrote and directed A Hard Rain.
