Storyline
Jamie's class has graduated to start undercover work, looking for illegal drug dealers in bars. Unlike fellow cadets, he wins the confidence of a smart wingman, and ends up saving his life, quite possibly an unhoped-for way into a major gang the NYPD failed to infiltrate for years. Now Poole has been elected mayor, Frank takes his customary resignation as police chief seriously. The murder of mayoral campaign collaborator Cole Farragout seems a test case. It turns out he's the husband of Erin's close school friend, who objects ti a public trial when Danny finds Cole was involved in a Croatian gang's prostitution and worse. Written by

Amazing that this show did not receive any Emmy nominations, especially for Donnie Wahlberg as best supporting actor.
A new season brings with it a Mayor-Elect, an African-American neighborhood organizer, who is some political pro. When a major contributor of his is murdered, he wants the story to go away as quickly as possible. Why? It's the circumstances around the murder.
In the meantime, the younger Regan has graduated to under-cover status and this segment has the potential to be a great one since he has discovered a crime family and I'm sure more will be said about this during the season.
The episode was also good as we saw the nuances within the criminal justice system.
We also saw politics at its best as Frank Regan is almost playing a cat and mouse game with the Mayor-Elect regarding if he'll remain as police commissioner. For the show to continue, you know what the answer will be to that.
