Storyline

The documentary relates the story of the existence of the only living inhabitants in one of the largest cemeteries of Europe. The film describes the daily life of a group of gravediggers and the microcosm that surrounds them at a cemetery in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. Old, young, Christians, Muslims, celebrities, unknown, Romanians, Russians, Hebrews, Gypsies - they all arrive at the cemetery dead. Be it winter, spring, summer or fall - the preoccupations of the diggers always remain the same. The diggers dig and bury.
