The film premiered at the 10th Rome International Film Festival in Nov. 2013 (out of competition) and was critically panned. Since then the film hasn't been released in any form. Only some film stills and reviews can be found on the internet.
According to Variety's review of the only public screening of Gods Behaving Badly (2013) at the 10th Rome International Film Festival 2013, actress Phylicia Rashad, who was announced as the character 'Demeter', and actress Kathleen Turner, whose name still appeared in the credits as 'Styx', both were not in the final version anymore. Since that screening the film has not been shown publicly anymore.
Author Marie Phillips visited the set in New York City and appeared as an extra in the film, playing a dead Edwardian in the Underworld. She published an account of her experiences at 'The Independent' on Aug. 9, 2014.
