Storyline

In 1944 in Crimea, under Soviet rule, 240,000 Crimean Tatars, a Turkic ethnic group of indigenous peoples of Ukraine and Crimean, were deported to Siberia and the USSR. It wasn't until the late 1980s they were allowed to return home. This film for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, enabled the dissemination of information to the former deportees in an attempt to help them claim back their civil rights in the Ukraine and Crimea.
