Princess Odette, Prince Derek and their trusted woodland friends return for their first Christmas celebration! But, with the villainous Rothbart striving to destroy Christmas itself, will they be able to stop him and save the day? Told in beautiful CG animation for the very first time, The Swan Princess Christmas is an enchanting musical holiday treat the whole family will enjoy! Written by
It was originally rated PG for "some scary moments", but the filmmakers trimmed it down to a PG-rating, this time for "mild perilous action", so that it wouldn't be frightening to children as it did to director Richard Rich's "The Black Cauldron" in 1985. See more »

This fourth installment in the Swan Princess franchise was released fourteen years after the third. By that time, we might think we could at least get something decent. No way! Richard Rich has made his not good but decent franchise into simply an abomination to animation itself by transforming it into 3D computer animation which makes especially Odette hideous and creepy to look at! The story contradicts itself and the earlier SP movies constantly, the same gags are repeated from the previous movies and new absolutely terrible gags have been added, the music, which was the highlight of the previous movies is replaced with generic pop/R&B- tunes with heavy auto-tune. Finally I must add that the fact that it is a Christmas movie is also a disgrace to the spirit of Christmas, because the symbolism it shows is so shallow and consumerism oriented that I simply feel offended. Hallelujah! Insulting both the franchise and the Spirit of Christmas. DO NOT WATCH!
