Anna Kendrick is officially a jack-of-all-trades. Not only is she an Academy Award nominee, she can now add author to her résumé, as E! News has learned that she is set to write her own book! The Pitch Perfect 2 star has signed on with Touchstone to pen a collection of humorous autobiographical essays, the publisher announced Thursday. The book, which remains untitled, is expected to hit shelves Fall 2016. The essays will focus on everything from growing up in Maine to her blockbuster success on the big screen, including Up in the Air and Pitch Perfect. Working such amazing co-stars, however, definitely let Kendrick in on some once-in-a-lifetime experiences, which she'll also dish on in her »
This is why Spike's "Lip Sync Battle" is already must-see TV. It just premiered in early April and it's now a Thursday night staple, thanks to performances like this one from "Pitch Perfect" star Anna Kendrick.
Last night (April 16), Anna took on John Krasinski, who is a producer of the show. She did two songs: "Steal My Girl" by One Direction, and "Booty" by Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull. For her fully choreographed "Booty" performance, she got back-up from the singer herself, J.Lo, and that sealed the deal. Total ownage.
Check out the "Booty" performance here, with Jenny from the Block's cameo:

John Krasinski is taking his "Lip Sync Battle" to the next level. In this just-released sneak peek, the actor is giving us full-on Tina Turner in a "Proud Mary" performance that would surely make the singer proud. John starts the song off "nice and easy," just like the lyrics say, wearing an all black suit … but once the music picks up, the 35-year-old rips his shirt off to reveal a silver fringe dress. Just look at those legs! Krasinski is no stranger to the challenge, as he’s done it on "The Tonight Show" before and serves as the executive producer of this show too. His challenger this week? Anna Kendrick. The "Pitch Perfect" actress gets extremely competitive in the clip, dedicating One Direction’s "Steal My Girl" to her "Into the Woods" costar (and Krasinski’s real-life wife) Emily Blunt. Kendrick goes all out, dramatically unzipping her jacket only »

Anna Kendrick is a delight on Twitter, and now, she's parlaying her quick wit into a series of humorous essays for a new book.
The Oscar-nominated actress is set to pen a book of autobiographical essays that touch upon her childhood, her box office success in flicks like "Pitch Perfect," and everything in between. The as-yet-untitled tome is set to hit the shelves sometime in the fall of 2016.
Kendrick released a statement along with the announcement from publisher Touchstone. It said:
I'm excited to publish my first book, and because I get uncomfortable when people have high expectations, I'd like to use this opportunity to showcase my ineptitude, pettiness and the frequency with which I embarrass myself.
And while many of my female inspirations who have become authors are incredibly well-educated and accomplished comedy writers, I'm very, very funny on Twitter, according to Buzzfeed and my mom, so I feel »

Brought her A-game! Anna Kendrick faces off against John Krasinski in Lip Sync Battle on Thursday, April 16, and in early clips from the episode, the Pitch Perfect star proves that she's some fierce competition. Kendrick, 29, may have a shot at filling Zayn Malik's vacated One Direction spot, as she stunned with a performance of the boy band's hit 2014 single "Steal My Girl." She opened the track in a Harry Styles-approved leather moto jacket in a girly shade of lavender, crooning along to the Brits' [...] »
Every now and then it's rather difficult to figure out a headline for these episodes, especially when there isn't any one topic discussed for an extended period. I almost feel I should just set up a word randomizer rather than attempt to actually come up with something coherent. That said, on today's episode we talk a little about "Game of Thrones", a little about Michelle MacLaren departing the Wonder Woman directing gig, about new DVDs and Blu-rays, play some games, chat box office and all the standard shenanigans. With the sequel to 2012’s hit comedy Pitch Perfect just around the corner, news on the third installment is already underway with word from the Us that Rebel Wilson, who plays Fat Amy, has already signed on for the next entry.
La Times writer Amy Kaufman has tweeted over the weekend that the Aussie star has confirmed that she will return for a third time, though she doesn’t know if Anna Kendrick will be back too. Rumours abound previous were that new addition Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) was being “groomed” to take over the lead role should Kendrick drop out.
Pitch Perfect 2 marks the directorial debut of actress Elizabeth Banks, who also returns to the film alongside Kendrick, Wilson, Steinfeld, Anna Camp, Alexis Knapp, Skylar Astin, Ben Platt and John Michael Higgins.

We're expecting sizeable numbers come the release of Pitch Perfect 2 in May. The original film was no slouch at the box office, yet it proved to be an enormous hit on home formats. Furthermore, the two soundtrack albums sold rather a lot of copies too. It's widely expected that Pitch Perfect 2 - which sees Elizabeth Banks making her feature directorial debut - will make rather a lot of moolah.
Furthermore, Wilson has already signed on the dotted line to appear in Pitch Perfect 3, although she's the only cast member thus far we know to have done so. Nonetheless, we can't »
The middle of Spring actually means a new selection of summer blockbusters to look forward to, and with a ton of big-budget films slated to come out within the next few months and beyond, the summer of 2015 looks like one to remember.
From the new Mad Max (which is already on our end-of -year top ten list event though we haven’t yet seen it) to Avengers, Poltergeists, male strippers, talking teddy bears, and a reboot of the Jurassic Park franchise, this summer’s trips to the theaters will be jam-packed with sequels and new tales. From May 1st right through to the end of August, some of the movies on our list could wind up on year-end “best of” lists or even receive some Oscar talk by December.
Grab your calendar, because Wamg has a rundown of this summer’s films we’re most excited about, so check them out below! »

The actress confirmed during an interview with the Los Angeles Times on Friday that she has signed on for a third outing as Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect 3. Few other details are known, though the reporter for the Times tweeted that Anna Kendrick isn’t confirmed to be a part of the third film…yet.
It’s a great day for Pitch fans since that’s not the only Bellas news today. A brand new clip from Pitch Perfect 2 showcasing a riff-off between the Bellas and Euro competitors Das Sound Machine headed up by YouTube starFlula Borg. We're not sure what role he plays in the film as of yet, but look out for David Cross as the riff-off moderator. »

The Barden Bellas will be back this May to sing their hearts out for Pitch Perfect 2. If the box office receipts of the 2012 outing proved anything, it’s that comedy can still appeal to a large audience And be all kinds of weird to boot. While we’ve a month to go until verdicts are in on the sequel, the critical and audience response isn’t necessarily a factor for Pitch Perfect 3. In fact, earlier this year Paramount co-president Peter Cramer said “We’re definitely starting to think about it but we don’t know specifically what it would be just yet.”
Now, thanks to a Tweet from La Times’ Film Reporter Amy Kaufman, we know one star who’s lining up for a third aca-outing:
News: Rebel Wilson just told me there will be a 3rd @PitchPerfect and she recently signed on to be in it! (She doesn’t know abt Kendrick. »

Despite being peppered with accolades for the serious teen drama The Fault in Our Stars and its thoughtful star Shailene Woodley, the MTV Movie Awards still managed to provide several moments of silliness Sunday, including a rump-shaking Channing Tatum and a scantily clad Rebel Wilson. As always, the prizes were secondary to the irreverence.
Here are the most memorable moments from the cable network's 24th annual celebration of movies:
After the hunky cast of Magic Mike Xxl presented Jennifer Lopez with a trophy for her "scared-as-(expletive)" performance in the thriller The Boy Next Door, the "American Idol" judge prodded the guys to show off their dance moves. Without missing a beat, Tatum turned his backside to the crowd and gyrated his gluteus maximus for Lopez. Unfortunately, his co-stars Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer and Adam Rodriguez, not Lopez, joined in. "Maybe next time," she teased.
Robert Downey Jr. was enthusiastically presented with the Generation Award, »

Want a taste of what we’ve got to look forward to in not one, but two more Pitch Perfect movies? Catch Rebel Wilson doing her own rendition of A Tribe Called Quest's “Scenario" in the Pitch Perfect 2 clip that aired during the MTV Movie Awards last night. The sequel to the 2012 surprise hit isn’t due in theaters until May 15th, but apparently Wilson is already signed on for a third film. No word on whether or not Anna Kendrick and the rest of the Barden Bellas will be back, but if Pitch Perfect 2 opens as big as the original, I’d like to bet Universal will start revealing plans for round three soon enough. As for the clip itself, as a big fan of the first film, I’m thrilled to hear the Bellas sing anything, but if I’m nitpicking, the shots here are, »

We're in the midst of an era where the film hitting theaters in the near future isn't as exciting as the film that hasn't been made yet and today we have another example as "Los Angeles Times" writer Amy Kaufman tweets out news Rebel Wilson tells her there will be a Pitch Perfect 3 and that she's already signed on to star, though she isn't sure if Anna Kendrick is also on board just yet. Wooc Hooc I wasn't the biggest fan of Pitch Perfect, certainly not like the masses that ate it up with a spoon and are slobbering for the arrival of Pitch Perfect 2, but who am I to ruin the func The Barden Bellas are back in the sequel in which supporting actor Elizabeth Banks takes the helm as the girls are now graduating seniors and it's time to sort out what's next in their lives. Pitch Perfect 2 hasn’t even hit theaters, but the Barden Bellas are already preparing for their next show. Or at least one of them is. Rebel Wilson, who plays Fat Amy, has confirmed that a Pitch Perfect 3 is coming, and that she is set to star. More on Pitch Perfect 3 after the jump. […]

With cheap-as-chips a cappella comedy Pitch Perfect turning into $133 million worth of sleeper hit, it’s little wonder Universal commissioned a sequel. And box-office projections on that film must be pointing north of that figure because Rebel Wilson has confirmed that Pitch Perfect 3 is also on the way.Although the studio has yet to officially confirmed the news, Australian actress revealed to Los Angeles Times reporter Amy Kaufman that the threequel is on its way and she’ll be back to reprise her role as Fat Amy, the joker in the Barden Bellas’ pack. The first film had lungs the size of Zeppelins and a similarly big heart, and audiences will soon get to reconnect with the group's ongoing musical mishaps as the initially sniffy Beca Mitchell (Anna Kendrick) and the gang experience a potentially career-limiting Janet Jackson moment in front of the President.News: Rebel Wilson just told me »
