MGM TV Hires Barry Poznick to Lead Unscripted

Veteran producer Barry Poznick had been hired to head unscripted programming for MGM Television, the studio announced Thursday. The move is the first major hire made since Mark Burnett took over as president of the studio in December. As president of unscripted television, Poznick will report to Burnett and will lead the creative and development for all of MGM’s unscripted television content.

Poznick is a longtime producing colleague of Burnett, with the two having worked together on “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” “How’d You Get So Rich?” and “Trust Me, I’m a Game Show Host.”

Rachel Brill Upped to VP Unscripted Programming TNT Originals

Rachel Brill has been promoted to vice president of unscripted programming for TNT Originals. Brill, who most recently served as director of unscripted development for TNT, is responsible for supervising development of unscripted series, collaborating with directors and producers on developing new ideas, providing creative oversight of unscripted pilots from pre-production through production and post-production; and supervising the continued development of series once they’ve been greenlit. Brill is based in Los Angeles and reports to David Eilenberg, senior vice president of unscripted development for TNT and TBS. Prior to joining TNT, Brill served as vice president of development and supervising producer at Zoo Productions. While at Zoo, Brill oversaw development and production of pitches, presentations and pilots, including the Emmy®-nominated Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?; Hub’s Family Game Night; truTV’s Southern Fried Stings and Over the Limit; TV Land’s How’d You Get So Rich?

The hit show 'PrankStars' casting Disney Channel star's biggest fans

The Zoo Productions Disney Channel hit hidden camera reality series "PrankStars" is in production and the show's casting department is seeking boys and girls between the ages of 8-16, who are huge fans of a Disney Channel star. If selected to appear on the show, the unsuspecting tweens and teens come face to face with their favorite celebrities in unpredictable and humorous situations. Extras are also being cast to be a part of the pranks. The series is hosted by Disney Channel actor Mitchel Musso who directs the pranks live from an undercover mobile command center. Musso has appeared on the Disney Channel shows and movies "Hannah Montana," "Pair of Kings," "Phineas and Ferb," "Hatching Pete, "That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana," and "Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana" among others.
