Around these parts we've been fans of William Butler ever since his roles in Night of the Living Dead (1990) and Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III so any time we hear that he's involved in something new, we take notice. Case in point...

Producer-director-writer William Butler’s Transition Entertainment has been inked to a first-look deal by Starz Animation’s Film Roman.

Butler and his Transition team, which includes three-time Emmy Award® winner John Vulich, will work with Film Roman’s General Manager, Head of Production Dana Booton to assist in the development and creation of animated and live-action content for all platforms.

Piper Perabo (Imagine Me & You) makes an appearance in the sci-fi action film Looper, in theaters September 28.

Emma Stone will team up with director Cameron Crowe for an untitled romantic drama. The movie is set to start filming in the fall. Stone's love interest has yet to be cast, may I suggest Ellen Page?

'Bridesmaid' Wendi McLendon-Covey Falls For 'Magic Mike'

There's now officially another female in the world of male strippers.

The cast of Steven Soderbergh's "Magic Mike" continues to indulge a woman's touch with the inclusion of Wendi McLendon-Covey, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The "Reno 911!" actress, who made quite a splash this summer as the cynical Rita in "Bridesmaids," joins Olivia Munn, Cody Horn and Riley Keough as the ladies of the male stripper drama, which follows a veteran exotic dancer (Channing Tatum) as he teaches his young protege (Alex Pettyfer) how to hustle both on and off the stage.

It's unknown what role McLendon-Covey will be playing, though our guess is she might be the wife (or ex-wife) of Matthew McConaughey's character, who owns the strip club where all the excitement takes place. Either that or Alex Pettyfer's mom.
