"Tirages en série/Series of shots" 2011 HEAD Jury
haefelin28 June 2011
"Tirages en série/Series of Shots" received the well-deserved accolade of the 2011 HEAD Bachelor's jury. The jury was composed of: Françoise Widhoff (F for Fake), Frédéric Choffat (Mangrove, La vraie vie est ailleurs), Edouard Waintrop (Director of the CAC Voltaire), Séverine Cornamuzaz (Coeur Animal, Swiss Film Prize 2010) and Bertrand Bacqué (Theorist and film critic).

Here's what the jury had to say about "Tirages en Série/Series of Shots:

"Kevin Haefelin celebrates genre cinema while transcending it with humor and derision. If he wants to break away from the pack of cinema d'auteur and primarily establish himself as a director, he proved a brilliant playmaker of a brief form, communicating boundless energy to each shot. As a thorough and inspired craftsman – think Méliès zany tone - the prologue and finale are true gems of film directing and irony. He also asserts himself as an excellent director of actors, getting an absolutely unique performance from actress Anne Richard. His thesis on the portrayal of violence in cinema offers welcome analysis of the works of Kubrick, Tarantino and Winterbottom.

For this visual and infectious pleasure, he has earned the well-deserved accolade of the jury.
