Did You Know?

The production went through approx. 3000 Dutch girls to find a girl that could both dance and act/playback at the same time as well as looked a lot like Lady Gaga. Due to the fact that Lizalo Galama (who is now portraying Lady Gaga in the video) originally wasn't available at the original dates of filming, she was forced to learn the choreography, the mimicking and the playback in the last four days prior to filming. Therefore the producers made sure that she would get all the help she needed and she received a personal dance trainer, a personal 'gaga-trainer' and a personal production manager. See more »

One of the best amateur music videos.

"The Project" takes a song that doesn't have an official music video and makes one. Remy Schepers does an excellent job in this production, where the choreographed moves of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (Lady Gaga) are recreated so well that the viewer forgets that this is not really Gaga. Lizalo Galama except for being taller is a dead ringer for Stefani. Galama captures most of Gaga's moves and facial expressions very well. Dancing in the Dark, a song from Gaga's The Fame Monster; was never released as a single so it was never charted in Billboards top 100. Using this song for the opening of her Fame Monster concert tour, Gaga captured everyone's attention with the powerful silhouette dance, causing this song to gain popularity. After the introduction of third album "Born this Way"; fans were disappointed to learn that Gaga would not do an official video for Dance in the Dark so Remy steps in and does one for us.
